One guest per student is allowed during a visit to the Student Recreation Center. There is a $10 fee and you and your guest must register at the front desk.
Do I need to sign up for classes?
We currently have a no sign-up policy. If classes get too crowded, we will revisit this issue, but for now there is no need to sign up.
What do I need to bring to classes?
You need water, a towel, workout clothing, as well as closed-toe non-marking soled shoes. No glass bottles or colored fluid of any kind are allowed in the Group Fitness Room. Water is sold at the front desk, and towel service can be purchased per semester for only $10!Do you offer weight loss/management programs?
Current Fresno State students can meet and consult with a dietitian at the Student Health Center for no additional charge. Faculty and staff can schedule appointments for a nominal fee. Find more information about Nutrition Services here
Do you offer towel service?
Yes we do! Towel service costs $10 per semester.
How do I get a locker?
You may purchase a locker between 8am and 8pm in Member Services (room #102). Locker rates run $45 per semester and $120 per year. Locker rental includes towel service.
Where can I park for the Rec Center?
The two parking spaces closest to the door are for temporary parking, not for use for the duration of your workout. The spaces closest to building with the exception of the first two are available for usage during your workout with a valid campus parking permit. On the far side of the parking lot, the first four spaces are reserved for the Lyles Center for Entrepreneurship and are not to be used for Rec Center usage. The rest of those spaces are meters, enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Overflow parking should go to Lot V, which is a green lot.
How do I reserve a racquetball court?
Simply call 347-3871 and inform the attendant that you would like to make a reservation. They will inform you which timeslots are open. Reservations are for one hour time slots. Back to back reservations are prohibited. No two people in the same party can reserve consecutive timeslots.
Faculty and Staff: Can my spouse use the Rec Center with me?
Because our facility is primarily for students, the Rec Center is not available to spouses of faculty and staff members at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause.
I am Fresno State alumni. Can I join the Student Recreation Center?
Again, due to space limitations and the primary mission of the facility, we are not able to accomodate the sizeable alumni population in Fresno at this time.
What if I hurt myself in the facility?
Please inform a floor or front desk attendant immediately. If you are bleeding, please stay where you are and send someone near you to inform an attendant. If you have fallen and there is a risk of any neck or spine injury, please stay where you are and DO NOT LET ANYONE MOVE YOU until you have been cleared by Rec Center staff.
I have some suggestions for the Rec Center. Who can I talk to?
